My name is Valeria. I’m a bilingual copywriter turned art director living and working down in good-old El Paso, Texas.

I love words and I love getting lost in a really good story. Good music makes me emotional. Food is a top-three passion. And I was an avid advocate of the em dash before AI ruined it for all of us.

My passionate and ever-curious nature leads me to always want to know why, to dig deeper and to keep asking questions. From proofreader and translator/transcreator to copywriter and art director, my advertising journey now spans more than 11 years and a few award-winning campaigns. 

I’m a solution-focused, strategic, creative leader that approaches my life, work and interactions with others with empathy. I currently lead a creative team of two copywriters and three graphic designers at the largest credit union in El Paso, Texas. Storytelling, how words can create a lasting impact, and being on a production set and watching storyboards come to life frame by frame, are some of my favorite things about the work I get to do. Creativity drives me, but I’m also exceptionally organized and good at meeting deadlines and sticking to budgets.
